New construction and or additions do not qualify.

It is very important to seal air leaks before installing insulation to ensure the best performance from the insulation.
The building is not eligible for incentives if the building has received an incentive from focus on energy for insulation or air sealing work in the last 3 years 1095 days.
To get the biggest savings the easiest place to add insulation is usually in the attic.
Insulation works best when air is not moving through or around it.
Incentives may not exceed the total purchase price of the improvement.
