The size you use depends on how the joists in your attic are spaced. Standard joist spacing for the installation of attic flooring materials is 16 inches on center oc meaning the distance from the center of one joist to the center of the next joist is 16 inches. Plus two notches are cut out for wiring on each side of panels. The attic panel panels we installed before the universal panels were available were designed to work with 16 inch on center joist spacing.

They come in two sizes. This new model can be utilized with either 16 or 24 on center joists.
